HOW DO I GET A QUOTE?

To get a comprehensive quote, please complete the Order Query form and we will get back to you to work on a design and agree it together.

ONCE I'VE COMPLETED MY ORDER FORM IS MY ORDER CONFIRMED AND BOOKED?

Close but not yet! Once we receive your Order Query form, we will contact you within 2 working days to make sure we have a good understanding of your design, colours, dates, etc. We will then send you an invoice and you will need to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit. The order is not secure until you receive an invoice and make the non-refundable 50% deposit. Please bear in mind, we can't guarantee availability if you do not place and confirm your order and payment within at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. Wedding season gets extremely busy and the earlier you can place your order, the better!

DO I NEED TO PAY WHEN PLACING MY ORDER?

Yes please! We require a 50% non-refundable deposit when confirming your order. This ensures we are able to purchase ingredients and any special equipment we may need in order to make and decorate the cake on time. The remaining 50% is due 48 hours before the due date of delivery/pick up. Please note that cakes will not be handed over if the payments are outstanding.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER?

Once orders are confirmed, you are required to pay a non-refundable 50% deposit. Should you need to cancel your order for any reason, you will not unfortunately get this back as we will have already used that deposit to purchase ingredients and equipment for your order that can't be returned or used in another order.

For cancellations done up to 3 working days before the due date, we will not charge the remaining 50%. Should you cancel within the 3 working days to the event, you will be required to pay the remaining 50% as we will have done most of the work by then and be adding final decorations to your order.

CAN I PICK UP OR DO YOU DELIVER AND SET UP FOR BIG EVENTS?

Pick up:
We only offer Pick Up on Celebration Cakes, Wedding Cake orders must include the Set Up and Delivery Service. You are welcome to pick up your Celebration Cake if you choose to. Please be aware that once the cake is handed over, you will be fully responsible for the state and transit of the cake and all decorations. Larger cakes generally travel better when broken down into tiers so may need putting together at the venue which you will also be responsible for if you decide to pick up. If that's the case, we will provide you with instruction to help.

Delivery:
Delivery costs are based on the location and mileage to the venue/address and will be agreed as part of the order confirmation.

Event set up:
For big events and weddings, we provide a set up service at an additional cost. The cost will depend on location, mileage, difficulty in travelling and if a stay-over is needed. This will be calculated on an individual basis and agreed with you before the order is confirmed.

*In all circumstances, you will be required to sign a Collection/Delivery Receipt to say that the order has been received undamaged, in good condition and is now your responsibility.

I'D LIKE TO PICK UP, WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We're based in Coulsdon South, CR5 in London zone 6, Pick ups are only available for Cupcakes, Cake Pops, Favours and smaller Celebration Cakes. Please be advised that although we will package them as securely as possible, once they have left our premises and placed into your care, they will be your responsibility from that point onwards. Wedding Cakes and larger Celebration Cakes require delivery at an added cost so we can ensure the integrity of the cake and help touch up any possible travel damage.

WHAT SIZE CAKE DO I NEED TO ORDER?

This depends on the type of event you are planning. With cupcakes and cake pops, deciding that how many to have is always easy! 2 per person generally works well and there's always a sneaky cake fan who nicks more than their fair share so we recommend a couple in reserve.

Weddings and larger celebrations tend to use Wedding portions and smaller events tend to use Dessert portions. We've done a picture below the FAQ section that may help give you and idea but we will, of course, work with you when you place your order to help advise on this.

If you want multiple tiers and dramatic effect but the budget doesn't allow for it, we can do a cake dummy tier - this is a tier that is decorated in exactly the same way but contains polystyrene, not actual cake, so reduces cost quite a bit while still giving that majestic and grand feel and appearance (your guests will never know!)

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DESSERT PORTION AND A WEDDING PORTION?

In the cake industry we refer to Wedding portions or Dessert portions. Wedding portions are smaller and tend to be for a very large event where you want to ensure everyone gets a piece so slices are small, thin and generally square shaped. Dessert portions are for when you simply want to indulge and tend to be the size you have when you're at home and no-one's watching! Take a look at the pic below our FAQS which gives you and idea on the difference.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER?

Wedding Cakes:
Orders fill up very quickly in the Wedding season, so we highly recommend getting your order in as soon as you can. We require a minimum of 2-3 months notice so we can arrange travel, set-up and purchase specially needed ingredients or products where needed. We dedicate our full energy, focus and attention to one order per week.

Celebration Cakes:
For Celebration Cakes, we require 4-5 weeks notice. While not as complex as Wedding Cakes, we still dedicate a lot of time, energy and care on making a beautiful and elegant piece of art for you so as much advance notice as possible is always good.

CAN I ORDER SUGAR FLOWERS SEPARATELY?

Yes you can! The same ordering and notice period process applies so we can ensure the design, size and theme in time for your event. We may need to purchase specific cutters and shapers depending on what you want so confirmation of the orders will also have a 50% non-refundable deposit.

CAN I CHOOSE BETWEEN BUTTERCREAM, SUGARPASTE OR GANACHE COVERING?

The flavour, height and style of cake you want will determine the coating of the cake. We work with buttercream, chocolate ganache, sugarpaste and royal icing so can be flexible depending on the main theme. It's essential that the cake is supported and can withstand any weather conditions when being made so it looks its best on your special day. We will work with you to understand all factors (in-door/outdoor, theme, look, etc) before the order is confirmed and our job is to advise you on the option that will look best on your special day. Let's chat about it and go from there!

WHAT FLAVOURS ARE AVAILABLE?

Wedding Cakes:
We have Signature Wedding Flavours that we specialise in for Wedding Cakes. These are flavours and combinations that are tried and tested and provide the most stable and luxurious options for your special day:

  • Indulgent Bittersweet Chocolate with Mousse & Ganache filling

  • Tangy Lemon Zest & Blueberry with Lemon Curd Buttercream filling

  • Luxury Mocha & White Chocolate with smooth Coffee Buttercream filling

  • Rich Salted Caramel with Caramel Sauce and Caramel Buttercream filling

  • Madagascan Vanilla Bean Victoria Sponge with fresh Raspberry Jam and Vanilla Buttercream filling

  • Chai Spicy Carrot with sweet Caramel Buttercream filling

Celebration Cakes, depending on the decor requested, have more flexibility in what flavours, fillings and coverings available.
Cupcakes and Cake Pops have a much wider range and we can accommodate almost any flavour you can think of!

DO YOU DO GLUTEN-FREE, VEGAN OR SPECIAL DIETARY  BAKES?

Vegan and veggie:
We feel very strongly about animal rights and wellbeing so we do our best to use organic and free range products at all times. That means all our cakes are veggie and we're working on the vegan but aren't quite there yet - keep checking in!

Allergens:
As for allergens (see below list) we aim to keep these to a minimum but we use a working kitchen to bake in so can't assure you that the cakes wont have traces in. Therefore we say, better safe than sorry and we would advise that you don't order and eat our products if you have a known allergy to any of the following items:

  • Alcohol

  • Celery

  • Cereals containing gluten

  • Eggs

  • Fish

  • Lupin

  • Milk

  • Nuts

  • Peanuts

  • Sesame seeds

  • Soya

  • Sulphur dioxide

Kosher and Halaal:
We do use alcohol in our airbrushing and flower making and for various other decorating techniques. This can be swapped out for lemon juice if you include this in your order and make sure to inform us as early as possible.

WILL YOU COPY A DESIGN IF I SEND YOU A PICTURE?

We do NOT copy other cake maker's designs as that is their intellectual property, hard work and effort. We also don't make copyright cakes ie Disney or movie character cakes for legal and copyright reasons. We can gain inspiration from pictures and themes you send us and work together to come up with something more unique. Obviously, "trend" cakes are not copyrighted and we can of course help you with these though we much prefer to provide you with a totally unique piece of art that no-one else has.

CAN YOU MATCH MY THEME COLOURS?

We will do everything we can to match your colours should you need it however please remember there is some variation in images printed and on screen and sugarpaste/buttercream isn't the same as Dulux paint! It may help to pop to B&Q and obtain a colour card or send a swatch of material that we can work with. Please also bear in mind that colours and flavours continue developing even after they are mixed in and applied to the cake so colours may well deepen slightly.

DO YOU DO CAKE TASTING?

Cake tasting is limited to Wedding cakes only and is a charged service. Bcause of the pandemic, we offer the Tasting Service via post and up to 3 Wedding Portion flavours will be sent to you safely and hygienically secure via Royal Mail.

DO YOU HIRE OUT CAKE STANDS?

Yes we do - for a deposit which is returnable after the stand is delivered back in the same good order it was provided in. Where damage has occured, we still require the stand back but will not refund the deposit. We do strongly advise our clients to use our cake stands as, although venues often offer this as part of the hire service, you will often find the stands have had a lot of wear-and-tear and are not level. They may also not suit the look and feel of your specific order and as you've gone to the effort of finding your cake designer, worked with them to agree a design and a look, you want that to display as best as it possibly can.

WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS?

When you receive your order confirmation, you will also receive a full set of terms and conditions. These are provided to ensure that both your rights as a purchaser and client as well as ours as a supplier are represented and fulfilled.
