About Sweet Samsara Cakes

I'm Tarryn, creator and owner of Sweet  Samsara Cakes. My earliest memories of baking are of my sister and I helping my Gran make and decorate Christmas cakes for the family. They looked absolutely terrible as Gran would lay out all the colours, little reindeers and snowmen decorations and just let us run wild! But the creativity and fun of doing them, stuck with me and grew into a passion for artistry and design. I was completely hooked and have been baking ever since. I love baking but I love decorating my bakes even more. As a painter and artist, I find that each cake provides a new canvas to let your imagination and creativity run free. There's no limit at all!

I dedicate so much time and energy into each  creation that I only take on 1 commission per week in the Wedding season so I can focus on every detail and aspect of your design.   I will help you through each step in the process to help  translate your  vision into a showcase piece of edible art.

Cakes mean celebration, a gathering of loved ones and a special occasion that you want to remember! I consider it a priveledge to be able to contribute to making someone's celebration or event even more special.

When I decided to become more serious about offering cake artistry, I carefully selected teachers and schools that offered the best, most unique accreditations and courses to increase my skill level, help me find a way to develop my creativity. I completed my PME Masters in Cake Decorating and have been fortunate to attend online and in-person training courses  with Queen of Hearts Couture, Marie Antoinette Cakes, Inspired Creations, Jasmine Rae Cakes, Alan Dunn and many more. And Sweet Samsara Cakes was born!  Sweet Samsara Cakes now  offers top quality, totally unique creations that are inspired by the exquisite beauty and complexity of the nature that surrounds us; the  perfect  asymmetry in the blossoms and plantlife we are drawn to and  in the architecture and symbolism we draw from the natural world we live in.
